Wildflowers Just finished this larger work from a field study of a month or so ago. It was late Spring or early Summer and the wildflowers were profuse. The scene astouded me so! There were wild Bachelor Buttons, Lupine, Wild Rose, Blue Headed Gilia, and Vetch all in the same field by the lake. [...] July/ Oregon Coast IV Sunny, warm and a spectacular day. I even got a sunburn while painting this scene. The coastal flowers and shape of the tide coming in off the rock provided a great value pattern that creates a pleasing compositional curve and carries you through the painting. 10″x8″ oil on canvas Sold © [...] |
